It’s Friday, which means a plethora of well known and up and coming artists have dropped new releases. In order to help us find the most notable ones, Spotify has its weekly updated new music Friday playlist. This morning, I took the time to scroll through all of the songs and I have to admit, there were definitely some good ones, but there was one specific one that completely blew me away.
On this special Friday, I’m so pleased to introduce y’all to Akron, Ohio native daydream Masi who is making his way onto our pages for the song entitled “Hot Mess”. The best way I can describe this song is that it truly makes you feel something; or at least it made me feel something. I can’t really stick this into a genre as it features so many components that range from pop, soul, rock, electronic. It’s genre defying and stands on its own two feet as a beautiful form of art that speaks for itself. daydream Masi is meant to be in this profession. His gorgeous voice and infectious soul that he sings with is felt throughout every verse and every note. The track gets better as you keep listening which is the coolest part about it. The captivating nature of this song is truly something special.
This new release by daydream Masi is definitely one that you won’t want to miss! I’ve attached the Spotify link to “Hot mess down below, so give it a listen and let us know what you think!
