“Holiday Heartbreak” by The DRs is the latest holiday anthem that needs to be on your Spotify and Apple Music playlists. Just last week, I came across the song after it was referred to me by a friend and I haven’t been able to keep it off my mind ever since. With a lot of holiday songs that sound virtually the same, “Holiday Heartbreak” creates an extremely fresh take on music that we consider to be classic.
The DR’s is the brain child of 2 well-respected names in the music industry, D. Phelps and Rob Gueringer who have both produced and created music with/for some of the biggest names that we’ve ever heard. The DR’s is a way for both of them to creatively dive into another form of their artistry while keeping the main thing the main thing, which is the music. From a production standpoint, “Holiday Heartbreak” is super impressive as it somehow brings the holiday cheer of Christmas music into a catchy upbeat piece that can be listened to by anyone.
I’m a huge fan of these guys and I’m super excited to see what other amazing stuff they come up with in the beginning of 2021 whether it’s more Christmas music or other genres. I’ve attached the Spotify link down below, so give this one a listen and let us know what you think!
