Mick Jenkins has had a very busy week as his new project, Wave[s], dropped about a week ago via NPR, the project also went up for sale via Itunes today, so be sure to buy that & support one of Chicago’s rising stars. In support of Wave[s], Mick has given us some Nathan R. Smith & Sebastian Sdaigui directed visuals for his pop sounding hit “Get Up Get Down.” Mick has been known for having some great music videos in his past, including Dehydration, Jazz, and P’s & Q’s; this video certainly does not disappoint. The directors Nathan Smith & Sebastian Sdaigui were quoted saying they wanted to “Shoot something positive and motivational within the local community” and they did just that, even shooting some shots downtown in an alley I walk through almost everyday on the way to class.
