Chicago rapper Freako has been dropping nothing but consistent heat all year and these latest two tracks are no different. The first one finds him teaming up with Jay-R Beats, responsible for half of the beats on Freako’s latest EP, Oasis, and an incredibly talented producer. The song is titled “Sleep” and finds Freako rapping in a stream of consciousness over Jay-R’s cathartic sounds and captivating drums. The second track is titled,”Drown”, and is produced by Wildlife Willy who creates a wavy backdrop which Freako tackles by vocalizing some emotion fueled thoughts. What stands out the most to me about Freako’s music is the lucid dreamlike state he embodies in every song, blurring the perception of mind and reality. Find some escape with Freako’s two latest drops below and make sure to follow him on Soundcloud to keep up with his ethereal bars.
