Fort Night – [Kahri 1k]

One sure way to make fans resonate with your music is to make it relatable and fit in with what’s going on today. Now that’s not to say that you have to follow the wave or be trendy to succeed. There are some ways that just make it easier for people to gravitate towards your offering if you are referencing something they are familiar with. Kahri 1k is making another appearance on the Lyrical Lemonade platform with his latest trap single, “Fort Night”.¬†Presumably misspelled to avoid any compliance issues with the video game, “Fort Night” includes many references to the ever-popular third-person shooter that has taken the world by storm over the past few years. Much different than the previous release “When They See Us” feat. Quando Rondo, this time around he delivers a trap ballad about masking up and hitting licks. The fact that Kahri is able to switch gears effortlessly showcases his limitless rangeability in music creation, being able to attack any and every subject matter when it comes to rap. Kahri 1k had this to say about the creation and the background of the visual:

“This song was an opportunity for me to show my fans how creative I can get. When we connected with Chris for the video treatment bringing the older and younger generations together was a goal of ours. That’s why we decided to include the ‘pulling drive bys’ scene with Caine and Ronnie from Menace II Society in the beginning. You pair that with something as popular as Fornite and everything comes together smoothly. I don’t play the game as much as I used to, but I’ll pick up the stick every now and then.”

Kahri has been receiving tons of love and support from the G.O.O.D. Music President and legacy act Pusha T, in which he then signed him to his own label, Heir Wave Music out of his home state of Virginia. Safe to say, his career is in very good hands and will be managed with care and support to assure him that he will see the top in the very near future.
