Flutterfly – [Archy Moor]

I don’t think the interconnectivity of the internet will ever get old to me — especially lately, as I’ve been scouring SoundCloud looking for more overseas artists to bring to the Lyrical Lemonade pages. Simply put, it’s always satisfying to find someone dope from the U.S., but in doing so, it’s easy to forget that there’s an entire world of music out there that we often don’t even think about. As a result, we as listeners can sometimes miss out on hearing all sorts of different styles and sounds, just as I’ve found with the breezy new release of Irish artist Archy Moor’s latest single, “Flutterfly.”

Between the groove of the bassline here and the off-kilter, refreshing feel of the melodies, “Flutterfly” is a one-of-a-kind song that acts as the perfect soundtrack to the ending weeks of the summer. Moor’s deliveries — nonchalant and perfectly infused into the instrumental — lay seamlessly atop the production, and best of all, “Flutterfly” perfectly highlights the rollercoaster of emotions that surround love and affection. With this, the song isn’t just a lively offering to throw on repeat, but it’s also a stellar display of emotional reflection that I’m sure we can all resonate with in some way, shape, or form.

Needless to say, Archy Moor is an overseas talent to keep an eye on, so be sure to get acclimated by clicking play on “Flutterfly” below!
