Although I’ve been meaning to check out Keith Canva$’s music for quite some time, I have somehow just never gotten around to it. That is, until today, when I finally tuned into one of his latest releases entitled “Fallin in Luv”. Despite the fact that it’s a few weeks old, I was just so into the track that I had no choice but to follow up and write about it as soon as I could. Produced by RecklessG4B and Felix Snow, there is a very touching guitar melody that is combined with some calmed, steady drums and rattling percussive elements that create a flawless foundation for Keith.
As he begins to sing, his words are fairly soft spoken and well-articulated, giving listeners the chance to truly ingest the pain and passion that went into creating this track. While there is clearly a touch of melancholic harmonies and a somewhat heartbreaking theme behind his lyrics, he also gives off a sense of hope and strength which are two things that I think any listener at all could appreciate.
As far as the music video goes, he recruited Mike Video to shoot this flick, and the results were definitely magnificent. Standing alone in every shot, he takes us out into nature during the golden hour of the day as the intense sun beats down on him. Pretty much vibing out and singing along to the record, various animations are incorporated including a floating pocket watch, human-sized mushrooms popping up out of the ground, and birds and butterflies flying around in his vicinity, bringing some a pop of color to the mix that accentuates his often-vibrant outfits as well.
While there isn’t much more to the video, he keeps things short and sweet as to allow for the song to carry the brunt of the workload, and I think it all came together perfectly. Keith Canva$ may be on the come up still, but he’s making a strong case as to why he’s next up out of the underground, so make sure you don’t miss out on his latest single and music video for “Fallin in Luv”.
