There is an exciting and quickly rising new talent operating in the pop space and she goes by merci, mercy. The Australia-based burgeoning artist’s second single, “Fall Apart,” is boisterous and triumphant in its presentation while remaining unbelievably honest. Straying away from the No Doubt reminiscent guitar-heavy stylings of her first single “Fucked Myself Up,” merci, mercy’s sound continues to show growth through her implementation of new sounds and styles. The song’s pessimistic approach to love and transparency artfully contrasts the song’s energetic production. The combination is a swelling performance of infectious electrically-amped pop that is personable in its delivery and admirable from its honesty. Although this is just the beginning for merci, mercy the future seriously looks promising for the talented pop artist who clearly places honesty and transparency at the forefront of her sound.
