It’s safe to say that Emma Rena is quickly becoming one of my favorite artists out right now. There is a feeling I get when I know someone is special and that feeling is extremely prevalent each time I listen to a track that was beautifully crafted by the rising queen herself. If you haven’t listened to any of Emma Rena’s music yet, consider your days of naivety to be dead and gone from this moment forward.
It was a blessing getting to cover some of Emma’s music a month ago and nothing brings me more excitement than getting to show her more love after she dropped an unbelievable song on all platforms today. The brand new offering entitled, “Roxanne” might just be my favorite song by her to date. There is an energy within this track that does something to me that I truly can’t explain. I’m not sure if it’s Emma’s perfectly tuned vocals or the thoughtful production; there are just so many elements within this piece that work to the fullest.
When Emma texted me and told me that the song was finished, I didn’t realize at the time how big it was going to be until I listened to it over and over again. Emma might as well be a magician by the way she’s able to captivate her listeners time and time again. She’s got the intangibles; the things you just can’t teach, but are simply God-given.
