While Atlanta has seen dozens of new rising stars emerge in the past year, one of the most promising artist rising artists coming is a rapper who has been around in the scene for some time now, but it appears that he is about to cross over from being an underground fixture to becoming a mainstream recognized talent. Yung Mal initially came onto my radar in 2017 when he released his unforgettable banger “Phonebook” along with his Zone Six compatriot Lil Quill, who just recently released his label debut Don Quillion under Gucci Mane’s Alamo Records imprinted label 1017 Records, but since this initial rise Mal has been developing as an artist and Mal consistently brings interesting and unique flows onto stellar production. Mal’s music is never boring because he is continually pushing himself to come up with more difficult and more creative delivery patterns. His latest track and Wolf directed visual for “Dollar Signs” is another fantastic offering from an artist who is poised to take the game by storm in 2020.
