Since the formation of his new music group Bye Dad, alternative hip-hop artist Willie Main has stayed quiet in his solo efforts. With only a few offerings from Willie in 2018, the gang over at Lyrical has been looking forward to what’s up next. This past weekend, with the help of Chicago’s Melo Makes Music, Willie Main released a new track, “Dog On Ur Leg”. With whirry synths and crooning vocals of Willie and Melo, the song provides a unique grungy sound never heard before.
Willie shines throughout the track with lyrics such as, ‘Meet outside of Costco, Let’s bulk buy some tea out of impulse.’
In short, ‘Dog On Ur Leg,’ sounds like drug addled, struggling love. Like most of Willie’s music the feeling comes through the delivery of his vocals. With more on the way, expect great things to come from the Chicago Native. Hopefully this summer.
