Dave Luv Sparks Interest With New “Gunfire” Visual

As we all know, there’s nothing that we love to do here at Lyrical more than to support great art coming out of the Chicago area, and today I have the opportunity to do exactly that. If you aren’t already hip to the rising new-comer, Dave Luv, it’s about time that changes because at this point there’s simply no excuse. When there’s heat even remotely close to our home base, we make sure the people know and Dave Luv is certainly making enough noise on his own in the Windy City for us to amplify it even further. After 8 prosperous single releases throughout 2023 – a year we’ll remember as one of consistency and tremendous growth for Luv – I’m thrilled to be shining some well-deserved light on Dave’s latest visual this afternoon.

Bringing to the table a new wave sound with a vintage aesthetic, Dave Luv unveiled the official music video for his recent single, “Gunfire”, earlier today. Complimenting the experimental and funk-infused production brought to us by Oizdatu, Dave floats over the song’s instrumental with a melodic flow that showcases his wide-spanning vocal range and versatile talents. A cinematic experience brought to us by director, Nicholas Jandora, I couldn’t have imagined a visual more fitting as Dave Luv matches the song’s energy with a retro scenery, a classic orange Volkwagen Beatle driving scene, and all of the west coast feels. Topping off the record and visual with a tasteful feature and cameo from the one and only, Reo Cragun, the “Gunfire” video is not going to be something you’ll want to miss.
