Nashville duo RP3 and Lul Sparq recently collided for a new visual to their track “Cross Out,” brought to life courtesy of ShotByMooch who is one of several cameraman helping keep Nashville’s rap scene alive, working with new talents across the entire city and helping actualize their visions. This pair has an obvious chemistry both personally and musically and it is this type of connection that makes local music scenes like Nashville as well as this style of music in general so compelling as the collaborations are as organic as could possibly be. RP3’s flow is raw but his southern drawl falls evenly over the beat and I am excited to hear the direction his music goes in as he spends more time honing in on his sound. Lul Sparq switches his flow up to a more staccato delivery compared to the usually soulful and melodic stylings that first thrust him into prominence in his hometown. I really look forward to continue watching these two develop and hope 2022 sees a lot of new music from both.
