“COUNT ON U” by Magsy might just be the most pleasant surprise of this Thanksgiving Weekend. As I was scrolling through New Music Friday, I came across the 3-minute and 23-second offering and instantly knew that it was too good not to write about. The well polished offering simply connects on all cylinders. From the upbeat production to the soothing vocal stylings of Magsy, “COUNT ON U” is a song that I see at the top of all of my playlists over the next few weeks.
Without a single release to his name before today, the 26-year-old artist just stepped on to the scene with a debut release that will leave music lovers intrigued in every way. Originally from the Bay Area, the now Los Angeles based artist has spent the last year carefully creating a body of music with his good friends and trusted collaborators. Surprised at how much they were able to accomplish with so little, this first offering is nothing other than a sneak peek of what’s truly in store for the up and comer.
