CoronaMask Pt. 2 – [CHOPACITO]

Connecticut’s Chopacito has been one of my favorite underground artists coming from the northeast and like most other artists from areas that aren’t necessarily synonymous with breaking rappers, his lyrical abilities and personality shine through enough to override any geographical factors. It is becoming more and more rare for rappers to be funny without making music that is intentionally sarcastic or tongue-in-cheek, but Chopacito is able to do just that, making you laugh from one bar to intimidating you the next. His flows are just as volatile, effortlessly switching up both his cadences and pitch which keeps you extra engaged. Chopacito is by far my favorite artist coming out of Connecticut and has been quietly consistent throughout the entire pandemic and slowly but surely I am starting to see more people get hip to and become fans of Chopacito.
