Lou Era, promising 19 year old south side Chicago rapper blesses us with his brand new EP, Code Red. In just 3 tracks, Era thoroughly addresses the ladies, his beloved city and the fakes. The material features flawless productions from Saint The Good Boy, KC Beatz and NiFD. In the sentimental joint, “Room 214,” Era debuts some of his sultry and smooth vocals. Just in time for Valentine’s Day (2/14) he expresses just how deeply his feeling go for a special shorty. “They Know” starts off dropping a dope sample with a classic Chicago feel. The rapper paints a picture of every life on the south side of the Chi. Letting outsiders know, contrary to belief, ain’t nothing sweet in these streets. Era lightly tears into his competition in this middle joint, preparing them for the finale. Lou Era lyrically obliterates his concluding track “Gang.” Era’s message is unshakeable, he’s coming for the crown. Not only does he clarify that he has the bars to murk his competitors, but also the persistence to take over the rap game entirely. A month and 5 days ago, Era hit us with gorgeous visuals for his “No Control” number it’s impossible to imagine what he’ll put together for this tenacious EP.
