Circle Small – [Adoni]

Are you someone who has trouble trusting others? If so I have two recommendations for you: therapy, and Adoni’s newest single/visual “Circle Small”. This spring has been full of releases competing for a spot on your weekly rotation, so I’ll waste no time with introductions – “Circle Small” is an ominous and esoteric bop that is sure to be a new favorite from an artist more than deserving of being on your radar. The track’s mix is ambient yet bass-laden, and Adoni’s performance is hypnotically melodic while still being hard-hitting enough to be perfectly aux-ready.

Being a co-founding member of Fourth Eye Tribe, a collective of young artists and multi-hyphenates, Adoni has been working hard with his team to build “a network […] whose goal is to create a new industry standard”. Their music blurs geographic and genre lines simultaneously, synthesizing forward-thinking ideas with distinct hints of Los Angeles, the PNW, and New Orleans embedded in the mix. Adoni’s “Circle Small” is a perfect testament to his and his peers’ efforts – as the Ethan Dupont-directed visual is refreshingly unique and immediately eye-grabbing. It’s no wonder why Fourth Eye Tribe describes themselves as “where Brockhampton meets Juilliard” because high-quality tracks like “Circle Small” showcase their artists beginning to scratch the surface of their limitless creative potential. Though the focus is on Adoni at the moment, I’m looking forward to seeing what he and his collective create in the coming months.
