Since 2020, New Orleans native Rob49 has established himself as one of the most talented young artists to keep your eyes out for. With co-signs from Say Cheese founder Shawn Cotton and Mississippi State basketball star Lamar Peters, Rob is working towards honing his craft, remaining authentic, and building out his sound. Earlier this year, the rising artist released his latest EP titled Welcome To Vulture Island with features from Lil Baby, Icewear Vezzo, Babyface Ray, Doe Boy, Lil Double O, and Landstrip Chip. On this project, Rob illustrates how versatile he can be from his ability to produce grim and menacing trap anthems, to how emotional he becomes on a few of his tracks.
On Friday, October 28, Rob 49 teamed up with Chicago superstar G Herbo for their latest single “Add It Up.” Produced by Southside and Smatt Sertified, the duo joined forces to create a new banger for the streets.
“Herb and I actually started our relationship the night we made “Add it Up.” We were in the studio all night just talking about how much we listen to each other’s music and how fire it is to be working with one another,” Rob shared. “We actually have another song dropping soon, I’m supposed to be on his deluxe. It’s really crazy to me because I grew up listening to him.”
Before the year is up, fans can expect a few new singles from Rob49. “Add It Up” is now available on all streaming platforms.
