CAUSE WE IN – [Deadboys]

There is no textbook or explanation of who you have to be in order to make it big in music, obviously. This can be great because it gives people the opportunity to be whoever they want to be and make a name for themselves in whichever fashion they choose, but there are some downsides as well. This freedom can cause some people to be stuck up, entitled, or just downright rude, and while this doesn’t seem to be the case with most of the people I have come across in the industry luckily, it definitely applies to some individuals who will remain unnamed.

So, when I first tapped in with Keshore after years of listening to him for years, I was seriously so grateful that he was one of the most genuine people I have met in the business. Then, when you combine this with the fact that he is one of the most unignorable, entertaining, and talented figures in music overall, it adds up to a recipe for success that I couldn’t imagine anyone else more deserving than him.

Moving on, though, he has talked about this group he is a part of called Deadboys which is still a bit ambiguous considering I’m not sure who the members are or if it is an official collective or just a crew of homies making music, but the handful of tracks that they’ve put out thus far is nothing short of great, and their latest track “CAUSE WE IN” is certainly no exception. Ke, alongside emcees like Drew David, Jimi Jupiter, Jroach, and Myles Bryant, all come together to kill it on a simplistic yet bouncy instrumental, which seems to be perfect to give everyone a chance to showcase their skills.

No one stands out completely because everyone just goes absolutely insane over the beat, so although there isn’t a single breadwinner, I look at it as if they all came to cause havoc and eventually achieved their goal as a unit. I also love how everyone brings something different to the party, but all of these individualistic styles seem to complement one another flawlessly, making “CAUSE WE IN” a huge win for the entertaining collective of musicians once again.
