Brand New Draco – [21 Savage] & [Metro Boomin]

It’s shouldn’t come as a surprise when I tell you that 21 Savage and Metro Boomin are definitely a duo that can pretty much be labeled as undefeated. Savage Mode was an all-out smash success back when it was released years ago, and I was nervous when they announced the follow-up to the classic because I didn’t think it was going to be able to hold up to the original. Insert Morgan Freeman with some killer talking skits and one banger after another, and Savage Mode II proved that this pairing wasn’t one you should even think about messing with.

Luckily, the fun isn’t over as the two talents teamed up with Silver Spoon to shoot a music video for their hit song “Brand New Draco”, and the results are just perfect. Starting out in what almost looks to be a doomsday-like scenario, the stock market supposedly crashed worse than it has in decades, and people are panicking. Well, most people except for 21, Metro, and a few others who are utilizing the music duo’s strategy for finances and investing.

While they make their way through the marble hallways of a massive building, the feds listen in and try to catch them doing some illegal or shady things to make their money. Finally, the tag team hops in a luxurious vehicle and peels off to head to some remote location where they hang out around a couple of girls and countless stacks of money. While they’re vibing out on their own, the feds end up raiding their operation at the previous marble-floored building, looking shocked when they enter and can’t find anything.

This music video is truly entertaining, and I think it does a remarkable job of adding to the legacy of Savage Mode II. Not only is the video’s storyline great, but there are also various skits that unravel throughout, one of which is an ad for 21’s investment ideology, where they got people like DJ Khaled and Shaq to talk about how 21’s Draco stock changed their lives. These little breaks were nice comedic moments that all ultimately added to the overall storyline of the visual, so I couldn’t be happier with the results. Whether you’ve been running the album back constantly for months, as I have, or this is the excuse you needed to go back and revisit it, I highly suggest you check out the amazing new music video for 21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s track “Brand New Draco”.
