After venting out his frustrations on Twitter earlier this evening, telling his label Interscope/Alamo Records to “Get their fucking shit together”, South Florida rapper, Wifisfuneral, has pulled the unthinkable by leaking his long awaited tape Boy Who Cried Wolf. No this is not a prank, he has actually uploaded it to SoundCloud but not before warning other artists- “Don’t fucking sign to no fucking major cause all they do is fucking nothing you can’t already do for yourself. Big fucking fact.”
While the method the tape was released seems unfortunate considering the fact that Wifi doesn’t seem very happy with his current label situation, the fans are sure to rejoice in finally being able to listen to the tape and it after listening it certainly doesn’t disappoint. Long time collaborator Cris Dinero handles a majority of the production and for a good reason, Wifi spazzes on his beats every time with unmatched lyrical tenacity. Other producer credits include himself, Ginseng, and Curtis Heron. He actually offers his own interpretation over the Pierre Bourne beat for “1st Day Out” featuring YG Ivy and goes nuts. Dirty Face Smook, Chxpo, Danny Towers, 458 Keez, and KiD Trunks are all also featured and none waste time showing out for the tape making it a high octane project filled with top notch flows and high powered beats. We hope Wifi finds closure with his label contract but if this move proves anything, it proves that he is an artist for the people and couldn’t stand his project being held back by industry politics any longer.
