Today I am happy to introduce everyone to Atlanta artist, Lord Sakima and his new ep, Blood Moon. Now, just because the project is only 5 track in length, do not underestimate it. Each song tells a powerful story about Sakima or something that happened in his life. The ep starts out strong with the heavy hitting “Totes” where Sakima tells us how he’s in his bag. He’s winning, got more winnings on the way, and feels like he’s on top. Don’t be fooled though because he’s not cocky, just confident. Now we move to “Ain’t Enough” and I’m sure you all can guess what that song is about. Even though Lord Sakima keeps winning, he is never going to settle and always going to strive for his best. Then in “Know What I Mean” we are reminded that he is not going to change now that his career is taking off. He’s still going to ride with his team and people that roll with him until. He won’t entertain any of the haters. In the fourth track, “French Avenues,” Sakima lets out his feelings about this girl. She keeps fooling with these dudes who aren’t anywhere near to as grown or just blatantly as good as he can be. That’s only the first half of the song though. In the second half, Sakima realizes that this girl may not be everything he had hoped she was going to be. Finally, the outro track supports Sakimas thoughts about the girl not being what he had hoped. He needs more from her and she just can’t give it to him, so he has to leave her. Overall, this was an excellent project in all aspects whether it be production, lyrics, or meaning. Don’t pass up on Lord Sakima y’all. make sure to check out his Blood Moon EP below.
