Henry Francis is quickly becoming my favorite rising artist right now and it’s not even close. After stumbling on his first two releases, I realized that there was something special here that was deserving of my immediate attention. From the moment you hear Henry’s unique vocal style and memorable tone, a certain energy exudes that just screams STAR.
The 16-year-old, who grew up playing sports his entire life just recently got into music not too long ago and it’s proven to be an amazing choice by the rising star. His first two songs, completely written and produced by Henry himself have caught the attention of young fans and tastemakers alike which is truly just a testament to his undeniable talent that cannot be overlooked whatsoever. His newest release is a song called, “Better Off”. It’s only been out to the world for 12 hours, so you’ve still got some time to get in on this early enough before he blows up.
The track is truly a spectacular showing by the young Chicago native as his emotional connectivity allows him to deliver a dynamic offering that will tug on the heart strings of anyone who listens to it. “Better Off” is a reminiscent song that details the realization that someone looks better off without you in their life. When it comes to break ups, it’s so easy to feel as if the other party missed out, but what if that wasn’t the case? What if it seems like they’re actually better off without you? That question alone is a hard one to ponder, but, necessary nonetheless. At the age of only 16, Henry sings with a conviction and confidence that is downright impressive.
I have high hopes for Henry. If he continues dropping music like “Better Off”, there’s no question that he’ll be a household name pretty soon here! I’ve attached the Spotify link down below, so give it a listen and let us know what you think.
