LOWFi has been heating up this summer. In addition to the previously featured “Paws,” the Baltimore trio dropped off two originals and two freestyles, where they tackled “Down Bad” and “The London.” Keeping things rolling, Jayy Grams puts in overtime, representing LOWFi solo with “Be Alarmed.”
Standing tall on his own, Grams brings the raw, menacing energy of a LOWFI track and, even without his cohorts, carries it from start to finish. Even with a ceaseless approach–no hook, no pauses, no ebbs in momentum– Jay keeps things from getting stale with some barbed one-liners and his ability to seamlessly maneuver through an array of flows.
Together or in this case, apart, LOWFi is a problem.
