Polo G is undoubtedly one of the most buzzing up-and-comers out right now, and today, keeping the momentum on his side, Polo is back on our pages with his latest visual offering, “Battle Cry”. Previewed on Instagram a few weeks back, I’ve been waiting for this one to drop for quite some time, and now that it’s finally out, I must say that “Battle Cry” exceeds all of my expectations. Polo’s melodic deliveries clash seamlessly against the trunk-rattling 808s and bright melodies, offering up an endless slew of rhymes of about how he came from the streets and became the man he is today. It’s triumphant yet vulnerable, and the result is a “battle cry” of a song that you can let ring out in heavy rotation all week long.
