Every once in a while, a given song or artist will come to my attention at just the right time, perfectly lining up with the way things are in the given moment. Such was the case with Xav and his brand new EP, Aside Ourselves. From the warm-weathered sounds to the pure emotion shown throughout each of the two songs, this project felt just like the breath of fresh air that I needed from the stresses of the day. Xav’s vocals come across with a beautiful shade of effortlessness that can’t be imitated, and furthermore, the lush production on this one provides a perfect backdrop for the rising talent’s velvety deliveries to shine through.
With this in mind, especially as of late, I’ve been trying to work on taking a step back and slowing down every once in a while, and this project seemingly took the stress of this away and did it for me. Aside Ourselves is a fantastic listen and an unbelievable introduction to Xav and his artful sound, so I would highly recommend that all of our readers click play on this one below. It’s short, it’s to-the-point, and most of all, it’s gorgeous all the way through, making this one an essential listen.
