“History repeats itself” is a saying that honestly will never get old no matter what context you use it in. Most commonly used in music, it’s amazing to see the amount of artists that leave behind a legacy to inspire the next generation of artists. Speaking in terms of the next generation of artists, the DMV has been bringing nothing but straight fire for a while now. Maryland-based artist Big Flock is one of the artists who takes pride on paying homage where it’s due, and he does just that on this Michael Jackson-inspired visual for his latest single “Aiesha”.
Over the span of his career, Big Flock has been making some pretty substantial moves thus far. Some of the notable collaborations include features with 21 Savage, Rico Nasty, IDK, and most recently with 3OhBlack on his remix to his viral hit “All Talk”. Despite those amazing features, he has been able to flourish just as much, if not better on his own. In his visuals for “Aiesha” directed by Moshpxt, Flock pulls off the perfect remake and his own rendition to Michael Jackson’s Thriller. The iconic scenery of Flock venturing in the woods with a woman by his side, to soon be transformed into a werewolf accompanied with choreography by backup zombie dancers, this visual strikes a nostalgic nerve while delivering a brand new vibe this time around. Produced by Endless Torch, the beat itself matches the vibe and the storyline of the video perfectly, and comes together to deliver massive spooky vibes just in time for this years Halloween.
When speaking about the video’s creation, Big Flock says:
“Michael Jackson is one of the greatest, if not the greatest entertainer of all time. If you’re not striving to be the best then why do it all. I always take that approach when creating my content and this video was no different. The fact that it arrives just in time for Halloween is a treat, trick.”
