Jump – [Why Cue] x [Doggi Krazy]

“Jump” is a perfectly titled track for the latest from New York artists Why Cue and Doggi Krazy. Hard-hitting 808s and an uptempo beat produced by Will Major, along with Bonk and Neconbeat.

The first thing I noticed with the track was the beat, likely because I’m an avid fan of high-pitch piano rolls. I was hooked before any lyrics were delivered. Cue, who I later found is ambidextrous, attacks the hook with both fists, and matches the energy from it immediately with his first verse.

“Good with the right but I’m really a lefty.”

Doggi picks up exactly where Cue left off, complementing the spirited first half of the song with a finishing verse that undoubtedly will bring listeners back for another listen.

The two are no strangers to both Lyrical Lemonade’s site and in real life, as they met in 2019 and have been making music organically ever since. Their work in the shows just how flawlessly their styles mesh, with them bouncing and feeding off each other on this high-energy track much as they did with their hit “Private Jet,” which since its release in 2020 has racked up over 2M streams.
